On the 1st and 2nd of March all Transition Year students were lucky enough to take part in a two day law module which was lead my James T. Fahey who is a barrister.
Mr. Fahey taught us about the legal system in Ireland and how it works. By telling us about real cases and experiences he has had and dealt with we got an insightful look at what being a barrister is really like. On the last day of the module, we discussed and debated real life scenarios and cases. We were also given a mock murder trial to look at and then each person was appointed roles to carry out in the courtroom trial.
This activity was not only fun but very informative on the inner workings of a courtroom trial. We all enjoyed this module and would like to thank Mr. James T. Fahey for leading this very enjoyable and informative module.
