Transition Year students Ciara Lynch and Aoife Mc Morrow were fortunate enough to be selected to participate on a physics course in Trinity College Dublin.
The course was run by the physics department of the college. Everyday for a week the pair travelled in by bus from their accommodation to attend lectures beginning at 9 o clock.
The lectures were very interactive, interesting and they covered a broad range of topics in physics. Different days had themes for example on the Thursday the topic of Nanoscience was covered including a tour of ‘The Crann’ which is the college’s research facilities.
45 students from all over the country attended this workshop. Thank you to Ms Cunningham for organising this.
