NO NEED FOR NERVES
The Junior Certificate results arrived today to be met by some nervous students but thankfully the nerves were unnecessary.
Mr John Irwin (Principal) said that he was delighted that the school is continuing to produce excellent results and continuing the trend of increasing the numbers attempting and achieving at higher level in all subjects across the board but also that the support offered to all students at various academic levels has allowed them to reach their potential and hence the reason for so many smiling faces.
Hard work in the school especially with regard to Literacy and Numeracy are reflected in the excellent English and Maths results and these areas impact right across the spectrum of subjects.
He also added that due to increasing numbers (100 students in 1st Year) that we have been able to introduce Spanish in St. Clare’s this year. This is in line with nationals trends.
He thanked the incredibly hard working staff of the school and the parents for their continued support. It would not be possible to achieve results like those produced today without all stakeholders working together.
